The Space

In a very classic monumental canal house build in the beginning of the 17th century we designed a very light classic apartment with modern details. Its very sunny positioned with a lot of big windows. The space consists of 2 very light rooms with high ceilings with the original white glossy beams and 2 classic hearths. The original wooden floors are also dressed in glossy white. It all together creates a dazzling look and feel.

Between the front room and the backroom, both with their own entrance the kitchen and the bathroom is located. The concrete bathroom is comfortable and stylish designed with cool products and sustainable materials.

The chill benches in the rooms are made locally with natural products. Opening the big rooms provide you a sunny retreat, even in wintertime, with an indoor terrace.

The bed is made from natural latex and covered with eco soft velour. All the wooden furniture is made from recycled material. The fabric from the curtains is fair made. The soft cotton on the bed and the eco towels in het bathroom supplies the luxury feeling that fits on this location.

The Location

Right in front of your door you feel the city is yours. Heading to the right you enter the calmer romantic Jordaan filled with canals and small streets. Around the corner you find the charming Leliegracht where lovely stores and restaurants indulge they eyes.

Going to the left you find yourself in the famous nine streets. Here in nine little streets many designers has a store and more and more the high-end brands opens their flagship store. And in between many small upcoming brands opens concept stores between the restaurants and the bars.

Around the corner you find the commercial streets with the big stores like Zara and so on. They are grouped around the Dam, the big square with the Royal palace. If the King is in the city you can find him around the corner. Many famous and fancy people live on the canals but still there are a lot of normal families that enjoy the silent atmosphere of the canals.
